Mark Taylor (General Manager) spent the first 8 years of his career working in Financial Services for Local Government; Administration and IT for the Civil Service and then in HR at British Telecom.
Seeking to move into the Arts industry, he first worked for several years at the Strand Theatre before joining McCABES, as Executive Assistant to Michael McCabe, in 1997.
His broad remit included: Board level support; key organisational responsibilities; internal, external and international communications management; international client liaison and special project development and implementation. In addition to corporate affairs, Mark worked directly with Michael McCabe on a range of productions including: Disney’s Beauty and the Beast; the Harold Prince production of Show Boat; West Side Story; The Graduate; The Full Monty; Kiss Me, Kate; An Inspector Calls; Fosse and English National Ballet’s The Nutcracker.
For 6 years, Mark acted as project manager for all productions of Mamma Mia! around the world, both at McCABES and later at Littlestar. He played an integral role in the worldwide marketing of the production, working directly with all marketing and management personnel, and was solely responsible for global brand management.
Together with Michael McCabe, he founded Michael McCabe Productions
in October 2004.
